My name is Misa Layne, I am seventeen and just finished my senior year of high school in Hawai'i. My pronouns are she/her. I have lived in China, New Zealand, Virginia, Sweden, Rhode Island, and Hawai’i. I am interested in pursuing a college degree and a career in political science and English. I am passionate about researching social, environmental, and criminal justice issues. My hobbies include track, gardening, cooking, and horseback riding.

Hi everyone! My name is Satvika Iyer(she/her), and I’m a high school junior in Milpitas, California. I truly believe that science and education can solve global issues, and this cause promotes just that! In the past, I have applied data science to analyze genetic defects associated with neuronal migration, trained an ANN to better detect forest fires, and promoted a district wide plant based campaign where I worked on bimonthly meal plans and advocated for the benefits of plant based eating. I believe in the power of policy and equity for all, working with The HFSEA’s Youth Steering Committee, FFAC, Homegrown Bay Area, and Empower through Plant Power in hopes of being a part of affirmative and compassionate climate action. In my free time, I love spending time in nature, gardening, and making (and eating) yummy food.
